Pre Ceremony "getting ready"

As I start this post I'm going to warn you that there may be picture overload.

We left off at 5:30 in the morning with me in the shower. I was so nervous and anxious and excited I could hardly control myself. I threw on my "Bride" tank top and some sweat pants and purposly made noises to wake up sisters without violently shaking them. When they finally did rise from their slumber Jacqui said she was going to go have breakfast with my cousins and Auntie A and that she'd be back for hair and make up at 10:30. Tori went back to her room to shower. So I was alone. I couldn't sit still and I kind of wished my sisters were with me but I wasn't going to pull a bridezilla moment. I turned on the TV just to have some noise and I started cleaning. I just kept thinking that I didn't want my room to look messy in the pictures. Out of all things I was concerned about, the unorganized room was the most important to me at that moment... how SILLY!

After I cleaned the entire room and organized ALL of the wedding bits and pieces, I sat on the couch and tried to relax when there was a knock on my door. I was hoping it was one of my sisters but it was the women from Carolyn Allen's to steam the dresses. I helped her rearrange the dresses and I watched her steam. She walked in and saw how organized I made everything and she said "WOW! I think you're the most OCD bride I've ever seen!" We had a good laugh about it and she got to work. She was so delicate and gentle with the dresses that it was almost calming to watch her. It was starting to hit me when I was watching her steam my veil that this was REALLY happening. She was so quick that she had me check her work and then she was gone in about half an hour. I was back to being along again.

After about another half an hour Tori came back all showered and refreshed. She brought in two egg and cheese sandwiches and some coffee. I was so glad she was back and that she brought me something to eat. It was only 9:00 and hair and make up were due in at 10:30... time seemed to be standing still. I had this mixed feeling of, Hurry up and let's DO THIS!! one second, and then "I have to remember to enjoy this because it will be over before you know it" the next. Tori tried to do her best to keep me calm but around 10:15 Jacqui still was not back and she wasn't answering Tori's phone calls. I would LOVE to tell you I wasn't have a bridezilla melt down but my bridesmaid being late wasn't sitting well with me. She finally arrived at 10:32 (Yes I remember the exact moment she walked in) and Rosie and Laney were right behind her with all of their make up and hair gear.

Rosie and Laney were AMAZING! They were so bubbly and energetic! They could see I was nervous and they totally made me feel 100% better and actually got me laughing! After deciding on the hair updo's and the make up style they got to work. They started on Jacqui and Tori first and I could tell that they were enjoying being pampered.

Randy showed up around 12:30 and started snapping away!

Once they were done it was my turn.

Laney showed me how to put my fascinator in for after the ceremony and then put my veil on.
*Seriously doesn't my make up look FLAWLESS!?!?*

I love that you can see Jacqui in the mirror, so artsy!

It was time for the girls to get into their dresses so Randy took that as the cue to go take some pictures of the boys getting ready. Now I wasn't over there, obviously, but the story goes that Adam was so nervous that the boys were already dressed at 11 that morning, so when Randy got there he didn't have the opportunity to take any getting ready pictures of the boys. hahahaha!

After these pictures Randy set Adam up on the Animal Kingdom Lodge bridge for the first look. He put Jake and Jared at look out points so that when I came out Adam would know not to look in the direction I was coming from.

My mom and Auntie C came into our room to check in on us before they headed down to the limo. They jumped in and helped Rosie and Laney get me and the girls into our finishing touches.

Getting the garter and shoes on were the HARDEST part!

Yup, thats a leopard print garter, I had too!!!! ;)

We were ready to go and Randy sent mom and Auntie C down to the limo so that we could head out to do the first look on the bridge. After one more look in the mirror I gave myself the "thumbs up" approval and we were ready to go see my future husband

I immerged from my room to see Jared in the hall waiting for us. He took a look at me and his exact words were "OH! you look so good!" It was one of the sweetest moments that I remember from that day. Jared ran ahead to make sure that Adam was facing the other way and then we all started walking down the hall. I had the biggest butterflies in my stomach... would he think I looked beautiful? Would he like my dress? Is he nervous? All these thoughts were running through my head! I was so excited to see Adam and give him the biggest hug in the world!

I'm going to be a real meany and stop here... Just to make the suspense even worse I'll leave you with this picture.
